The Nancy Atlas Project FFS 2022
The Revival. The Fireside Sessions came roaring back in the spring of 2022 with two back-to-back shows and sit in's from house favorites Danny Kean, Clark Gayton and Randi Fishenfeld.

Chad Smith and Nancy Atlas
Our very first Fireside Session was in January of 2014. Our friend, drummer Chad Smith of RHCP was in town and itching to play so we added a show. The first show! There was a blizzard the night before, three feet of snow and whispers of calling it off with no chance of rescheduling. The show went on (Wall to wall attendance) and the roof was blown off. The fire was started indeed.
Chad Smith
Chad Smith will always be the Patron Saint of this series because the first time we played he sold out the theater and started, what I believe, to be the epic energy associated with The Fireside Sessions. It was my job to keep everyone engaged week after week and that year we did a 10 week sold out run.
Brian Mitchell
Brian Mitchell, world-renowned piano, accordion, and vocalist has a long-standing reputation with his own epic band. He is also celebrated for being the ring leader of Levon Helms Ramble for many, many years. It was a sheer joy to have him come down and play FFS. He has definitely been one of our most frequent guests and for good measure... he brings it every single time. Photo by Daniel Gonzalez
Simon Kirke
Simon Kirke of Bad Company and Free. What an absolute joy this show was. He warmed our hearts with classic stories of the open road and blew our minds away by singing his original music, playing the ukulele, and slamming down some monster drumming! Photo by Daniel Gonzalez
Clark Gayton
You may not know Clark if you were to pass him on the street but you have heard him on some of your favorite albums or live shows over the years. Head Horn player for Bruce Springsteen and the Seeger sessions, Prince, Shaggy, Sting, Marsalis, they all know who to call when they need the best of the best: Clark Gayton.
Clark Gayton
Carrie Fisher had passed away the night before and I decided to play Somewhere Over The Rainbow dressing both of us up as Princess Leia. He is a good friend on many levels but I will always love him for dressing up in our Star Wars Hour of need.
Clark Gayton and Nancy Atlas at The Fireside Sessions
Monster Show with Clark Gayton behind the throne. Winstons Irie added to the pot on one of the true classic FFS shows.
Danny Kean
Danny Kean is one of our favorite FFS Guests. Insane R&B chops, keys and overall vibe. When Mr. Kean comes to town we all stand to deliver an epic show. Photo by Kate McCarty
Nancy Atlas and Danny Kean
Because everyone must sing Hallelujah before they die. We tried our very best to sing the most oversung song in the world. In hindsight we should have chased it with Don't Stop Believing.
Randi Fishenfeld
Randi Fishenfeld how do I love thee? let me count the ways... I love thee more than a sold-out house on a cold winter's day. Randi on violin goes something like this... if you know... you know...if you don't... you're missing out.
Clark Gayton as a Hot Dog.
Believe it or not... this isn't even his best costume. 9 Shows over the years. Nine costumes. Total joy.

FSS Guest: Henry Haid has been dominating the NY music scene for years and also performed as Billy Joel in Moving Out on Broadway. A good friend of Johnny Bloods, Henry joined in on the fun and had a blast! Here is he successfully tossing his hat on Nancy's head mid show. What a blast.
Johnny Blood
Johnny Blood on lead guitar getting the job done! There is no one like JB and we know it.
Ed Chrysler
Ed Chrysler on Stand Up Bass was a wild ride and a total blast. Ed is a true pro and showman from his blue suede shoes to his killer chops and attitude. We were all blown away by his badassery and as you can see... he did much more than a rabbit in his pocket.
Andy Aledort
Andy is a dear old friend and legendary electric guitar player. Sideman to Dicky Betts and best-selling author with books on Jimmy Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaugh we know Andy is a complete and utter Strong Island Gem. His show still has ashes on the rafters of the theater. It was that hot.
Klyph Black, Nancy Atlas and Legend Arno Hecht on Sax
In this triology I am the baby. Legends Klyph Black and Uptown Horn Sax Player to the stars Arno Hecht. Oh What a night.
Arno Hecht
Arno Hecht is in a class all his own. He's played with everyone. And I do mean... everyone... like, Rolling Stones everyone...so it's just a total honor any chance we get to share a stage. Love him!
The Uptown Horns
Once Upon a Time, I had a dream I played with The Uptown Horns and they wrote a full horn section for one of our songs, Last Call For Alcohol. Oh, wait... dreams do come true! What a joy... we smiled the whole time. Playing with these guys feels like driving a tractor trailer with no brakes. Super fun but you better be on your game.
The Nancy Atlas Project
Behind every great guest is the mighty force of The Nancy Atlas Project. Brett King on bass, Neil Surreal Thomas on Keys, Richard Rosch on Drums and Johnny Blood on electric guitar. These shows would not happen with out them. Oh yeah. Me too. Ha ha ha. pink hat an all.
Randi Fishenfeld on Violin
Randi has sold out more shows than any other guest and there is a reason for that. She is the dragon and the slayer in one. Photo by Gonzophoto Daniel Gonzalez
Simon Kirke
Joy. Joy. Joy. Simon Kirke is just a total joy and one hell of a singer. I don't care how famous the man is... he brings it every. single. time! We love you Simon.
TROMBOT
Clark Gayton never gets old. One of my favorite photos of all time. This is us playing looped out extra gallactic Space Oddity after David Bowie died.
Gene Casey and Nancy Atlas
Gene Casey is an East End Legend. He is also a very dear old friend. Here we are getting down to business and watching on as Ed Chrysler stokes the fire on his bass. This was a 16 Ton Trilogy song if I remember correctly.
Johnny Blood
Johny Blood plays better guitar than you. Sorry. It's true. And he's mine. Ha ha ha. Not really but I like to think so. WE LOVE HIMMMMM.
Judy Carmichael backstage
Legend and jazz great Judy Carmichael routinely sells out Baystreet Theater but every now and then she stops by to check on her kids (my kids really) and say hello with her megawatt smile. She makes us feel very important with her visits! We love you Judy!
Mike Reilly of Pure Prairie League
Mike Reilly... and the song Amy and Pure Prarie League Oh my! Just a total six foot five sip of cool lemonade on a hot Georgia Day. We love you Mike! He's good friends with our bass player Brett King and a joy to have come on down.
Chad Smith on the very first FFS.
A Zepplin trilogy if I am correct with a bass drum pedal that broke. That's like swimming the English channel with one-arm folks... but he did it!
The Nancy Atlas Project
Richard Rosch, Brett King, Nancy Atlas, Johnny Blood, Neil Surreal Thomas is the little band that can. Twenty-five years of love. None of these shows would have been possible without these guys holding it fucking down. For real.
